Recent Work: Summer Oak LVT Bathroom Flooring
14th May 2026
This Bradford bathroom project shows how much difference the right flooring can make to a modern bathroom. The room already had a clean, contemporary finish with grey wall tiles, a glass shower screen, a freestanding bath and dark vanity units, so the flooring needed to bring warmth into the space without taking away from the rest of the design.
For this project, Summer Oak LVT from Textures was fitted by Yorkshire LVT Lad. The warm oak tone works really well against the grey tiles and black bathroom details, giving the room a softer and more natural finish. It is a great example of how wood-effect LVT can make a bathroom feel more homely while still keeping the practical benefits needed for everyday use.
Bathrooms need flooring that can cope with moisture, regular cleaning and changes in temperature. LVT is a popular choice for this type of space because it gives the look of real wood while being far more suitable for a bathroom environment. It is also comfortable underfoot, easy to maintain and helps create a seamless finish around fixtures such as baths, toilets, showers and vanity units.
The Summer Oak shade was a strong choice for this room because it adds warmth without looking too dark or heavy. In a bathroom with grey tiles and darker furniture, the natural oak effect helps balance the overall look and stops the room feeling too cold. The plank design also keeps the space feeling clean and uncluttered, which suits the modern style of the bathroom.
This project is also a good reminder that bathroom flooring does not have to be plain or purely functional. With the right LVT, you can get a floor that looks stylish, feels comfortable and performs well in a busy home.
