How to choose
the right LVT
Consider the room
Every LVT floor here is waterproof, so it works in kitchens and bathrooms. For hallways and busy family rooms, look for a thicker 0.5mm wear layer.
Think about pattern
Planks give a clean, modern look. Herringbone and parquet add character to hallways and living rooms, while tile designs suit kitchens and bathrooms.
Think about colour
Lighter oak tones help a room feel bigger and brighter, while darker shades and stone effects add warmth and hide everyday marks.

LVT FAQs
Which LVT ranges are in the Black Friday sale?
All of them. There is an extra 10% off every LVT range we sell, including Symphony, Alva and Camaro by Polyflor, in plank, herringbone, parquet and tile designs. The floors on this page are some of our most popular.
How much does LVT cost in the Black Friday sale?
You get an extra 10% off our outlet prices, which are already up to 25% below the RRP. LVT prices start from £26.99/m² before the extra 10% comes off. LVT is sold by the pack, so your total depends on how many packs your room needs.
Is LVT flooring waterproof?
Yes. All the LVT ranges on this page are 100% waterproof, which makes them a practical choice for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways as well as living rooms and bedrooms.
What wear layer should I choose?
The wear layer is the clear protective surface that takes the knocks. A 0.3mm wear layer, as on Camaro, suits most rooms in a home. A 0.5mm wear layer, as on Symphony and Alva, gives extra protection for busy households, pets and high-traffic areas.
How much LVT do I need to order?
Work out the area of the room in square metres, then add around 10% for cuts and waste, or closer to 15% for herringbone and parquet patterns. Divide the total by the pack size shown on the product and round up to full packs. If you would like us to check, send us an enquiry with your room sizes.
Does LVT need a special subfloor?
The LVT on this page is a thin 2mm to 2.5mm floor that is stuck down, so it needs a smooth, level and dry subfloor. Many rooms need plywood or a levelling compound first, because bumps underneath can show through. A fitter can check your subfloor and tell you what preparation is needed.
Should I choose herringbone or plank LVT?
Planks give a clean, modern look and are quicker to fit. Herringbone and parquet patterns add character, but they take longer to lay and create more offcuts, so allow for extra material and fitting time when you compare prices.
Can LVT be used with underfloor heating?
LVT generally works well with underfloor heating because it is thin and lets heat through efficiently. Our Alva range is compatible with underfloor heating. For other ranges, ask our team to confirm before you order.
How long do the Black Friday LVT deals last?
The extra 10% off LVT runs until Monday 30 November. Popular lines may sell out before then, so don’t leave it too late.
